VLADIMIR ISSAEV, GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER AT THE LATIN CHOREOGRAPHERS FESTIVAL IN NEW YORK
Vladimir Issaev, Ballet Master and Artistic Director of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida will participate as a guest choreographer at The Latin Choreographers Festival in New York.
The Festival, in its 5th anniversary is lead by Ursula Verduzco, founder of the Festival and also an accomplished dancer and choreographer, is a vehicle for showcasing both novice and already well known choreographers and dance artists from Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and Cuba as well as the U.S. with also non-Latin choreographers as special guests.
Dancers from Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida will perform “Fuga con Pajarillo” with music of
Venezuelan composer Aldemaro Romero. This a neo-classical piece created by Vladimir Issaev combining the Joropo (traditional Venezuela folkloric dance) steps with the classical “en-pointes” steps of ballet, producing a very interesting and eclectic artistic combination. Romero’s music is invigorating which together with Issaev’s creativity compose a very exciting choreographic piece.
The Festival will take place July 12 to the 16 at the Dance New Amsterdam Theater, located at 280 Broadway, New York. For tickets and more information browse the Festival’s website: http://www.thelatinchoreographersfestival.org
